A DIN standard lock is a heavy-duty lock case produced to European standards. They provide a superior feel and product lifespan; however, please note that DIN lock cases are larger than standard UK locks and are only recommended for use on fire doors due to the size of the mortice required in the door.

This fire escape lock is designed for use with a Euro profile cylinder and turn where by when the door is in the locked position, simply depressing the door handle lever from the inside of a room retracts the deadbolt for easy exit. This meets the building requirements for exit of fire doors that require locking to prevent access from the outside (e.g. flat entrance doors, fire exit doors etc). When the door is locked, the door cannot be opened from the outside without the use of a key.

• A square lock faceplate and door striker is a rectangular shape to be fitted traditionally with a hammer and chisel.
• A radius lock faceplate and striker plate are rounded at the top and bottom and are designed to be fitted using a router; this provides a neater finish and allows for quicker installation.
